Cortona at Forest Park earns 2015 Property of the Year Award in St. Louis

St. Louis, MO – Cortona at Forest Park was presented with a 2015 Property of the Year of the Award by the St. Louis Apartment Association on Friday at Westport Plaza. The award was part of the SLAA’s annual “Rising Star Awards” ceremony, which honored 22 of the top property management companies in St. Louis this year. The ceremony was attended by over 600 property management professionals throughout the metro area.

Cortona at Forest Park took home 2 awards for the evening. In addition to the City of St. Louis’ Property of the Year award,  the property also earned a marketing award for its digital marketing campaign, titled “Be at the Center”.


One year after its grand opening last Spring, the 278-unit Cortona at Forest Park leased up 100% of its apartments and is currently accepting waitlist applications for Fall. Throughout its inaugural year, Cortona at Forest Park has also received accolades from other local organizations and media, including Developer of the Year from Park Central Development Corporation, Best City Living from ALIVE Magazine and one of the Top 5 Residential Developments from St. Louis Magazine.

Managed by Balke Brown Transwestern, Cortona at Forest Park was not the only winner at Friday’s awards ceremony. Balke Brown Transwestern also won awards for Maintenance Technician of the Year, Maintenance Supervisor of the Year, and Property of the Year, 200-400 Units (Villas at Crystal Lake). In addition to Cortona at Forest Park, the firm also owns and manages the award-winning residential properties Pointe 400 in Downtown St. Louis and Parkway Lakeside in O’Fallon, IL.
